Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) is a global network working toward the vision of a healthcare sector that does no harm, by implementing ecologically sound and healthy alternatives to healthcare practices that pollute the environment and contribute to disease. HCWH’s Healthy Food in Healthcare (HFHC) Program works with hospital leaders to shift food systems to conserve and renew natural resources, advance global justice and animal welfare, build community wealth, and fulfil the nutritional needs of all eaters now and into the future, and along with Practice Greenhealth has assisted more than 1,000 hospitals across the country in tracking their progress to phase out the purchase of meat raised with routine non-therapeutic antibiotics.
The Clinician Champions in Comprehensive Antibiotic Stewardship (CCCAS) Collaborative is a joint initiative of Healthcare Without Harm, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society, and the Sharing Antibiotic Reports for Pediatric Stewardship (SHARPS) group. The CCCAS Collaborative aims to increase knowledge within the clinical community of the link between antibiotic resistance and antibiotic use in agriculture and to promote policy action that supports judicious use. www.preserveantibiotics.org
