Update on Myocarditis Following COVID-19 Immunization

PIDS On Call is a new initiative of PIDS that uses a webinar-based format to bring important clinical issues within pediatric infectious diseases to PIDS members. In this month’s PIDS On Call, Drs. Judy Guzman-Cottrill and Buddy Creech discussed what is known, and yet unknown, about myopericarditis in children following receipt of COVID-19 vaccination. The webinar focused on the clinical presentation, recommended evaluation, possible pathogenic mechanisms, and considerations for management.
