16th Annual International Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference

The 16th Annual International Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference (May 28-29) is planned and implemented interprofessionally by physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. This Hybrid In-Person and Webinar activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists working in the areas of pediatrics, internal & family medicine, allergy, infectious diseases, microbiology, immunology. It may also be of interest to physician assistants, researchers, data analysts, hospital administrators, and all involved in caring for children.

This two-day course will provide education through lectures, small group discussions, and questions & answers. The activity will highlight best practices across antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) and specific strategies that have improved antibiotic use in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Abstracts

The call for abstracts is open. Authors of accepted abstracts, poster and oral presentations, will have the opportunity to have their work published in a supplement to The Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. All abstracts must be submitted using the RedCap survey. Within this survey, you will choose whether you opt-in or opt-out of publication. Please use the template embedded within the abstract submission form to format your abstract. Abstracts should be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT, Saturday, February 28, 2026, 11:59.

Pre-Conference Workshop

‘Environmental Sustainability and Antimicrobial Stewardship’ will be presented by Shreya Doshi, MBBS, and Preeti Jaggi, MD, from 1:30-4:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 27. This workshop will highlight opportunities to incorporate principles of environmental sustainability into the work of stewardship programs. Attendees will leave with concrete skills to make their stewardship programs and their hospital systems better for our planet! This pre-meeting workshop is separate from the regular registration.
