MAJOR FEATURES OF TRAINING PROGRAM: The primary goals of this training program is to produce highly qualified practitioners in pediatric infectious disease and to develop clinical and basic science investigators who will be successful independent investigators in their chosen field of research. This program offers the fellow a broad experience in infectious diseases, including infections in transplant patients, immunocompromised hosts, HIV infection as well as common infectious diseases. There is opportunity to participate in clinical trials, epidemiological studies laboratory based projects and international studies.
