Major Features of Training Program: The Phoenix Children’s Infectious Diseases Fellowship, Arizona’s only such program, trains physicians to serve underserved Southwest communities. Graduates deliver high-quality care to children from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds, making a lasting impact. Led by expert faculty in pediatric infectious diseases, the program provides comprehensive training. Fellows develop personalized treatment plans, integrating clinical research, quality improvement, and patient safety. This equips them to advance pediatric infectious diseases through innovative research. The fellowship offers diverse inpatient and consultative experiences, exposing fellows to complex medical conditions. This fosters skills for patient-centered care.
