MAJOR FEATURES OF TRAINING PROGRAM: This program aims to prepare pediatricians for academic career in infectious diseases. It offers intense and broad-based clinical training for approximately 35% of fellowship training. The division coordinates a 25-bed inpatient infectious diseases unit with additional varied consultations. Experience is provided in diagnostic bacteriology/virology/serology. Bench andor clinical research accounts for approximately 65% of time. The program has strong academic relationship with the adult infectious diseases program.
