MAJOR FEATURES OF TRAINING PROGRAM: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited program in pediatric infectious disease. A minimum of two years training in pediatric infectious disease: inpatients (10 months), adult infectious disease (two months), microbiology (bacteriology, parasitology, virology), infection control and clinical basic science research. Extensive outpatient experience includes general infectious disease, HIV, TB, Hepatitis, primary immune deficiency. Opportunity to do field epidemiology course at Health Canada. Collaborative teaching, infectious disease rounds and journal club with adult trainees.
