DESCRIPTION:The deadline to apply for RAPID is 11:59 p.m. ET \nThe Research in Academic Pediatrics Initiative on Diversity (RAPID) award facilitates the recruitment and retention of underrepresented in medicine (URiM) fellows and faculty in pediatric infectious diseases. We are pleased to announce the opening of the application window for 2024. \nHistorically disadvantaged and groups underrepresented in medicine (URiM) may face unique challenges garnering research support and transitioning to faculty. They would benefit tremendously from programs specifically designed for their retention. PIDS\, with support from Sanofi\, has partnered with the APA to offer this opportunity. \nThe program offers 2 primary benefits: \n\nResearch grant of $15\,000\nMentorship – peer-to-peer and interaction with established leaders in pediatrics and infectious diseases (National Advisory Committee)
